Description: Belides NP is a skin-lightening agent derived from daisy flowers (Bellis perennis). It provides activity due to a reduction of melanin production and promotes even pigmentation in age spots.

Characteristic:The product influences various pathways involved in melanogenesis. By decreasing the production of Endothelin-1 (ET-1) Belides NP reduces the UV-stimulated induction of melanin biosynthesis. In addition, the binding affinity of the melanocyte-stimulating hormone αlpha-MSH to its receptor is decreased and tyrosinase activity as well as melanosome transfer to keratinocytes is reduced. Available as Belides NP, which contains no preservatives in the sense of EU Cosmetic Directive 76/768 EEC or as Belides.
